Requirements:

• Strong, hands-on experience administering Microsoft Azure, including IaaS/PaaS, networking, identity, and monitoring
• Solid experience managing a Microsoft 365 tenant, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, and security and compliance
• Comfortable scripting and automating routine tasks using PowerShell, Python, or similar
• Able to work independently in a fully remote role and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders
• Exposure to Google Cloud Platform is desirable
• Familiarity with Salesforce administration or supporting Salesforce integrations is desirable

Responsibilities:

• Support, maintain, and improve our Azure environment, including compute, storage, networking, and identity in Azure AD/Entra ID
• Build and maintain automation and infrastructure-as-code to keep deployments consistent and repeatable
• Provision and configure Azure resources including Virtual Machines, Storage, Networking, and Entra ID
• Support migration activity, troubleshoot deployments, and handle patching and maintenance
• Write and maintain PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python scripts, and contribute to Infrastructure as Code using Bicep, ARM templates, or Terraform
• Help implement access controls and encryption via Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Azure Policy
• Maintain logs, support audits, and flag risks
• Work with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors to deliver changes safely and with minimal disruption

We are one of the UKs largest multi-brand automotive services groups, with operations spanning several European markets. As we continue to consolidate and modernise our technology estate, we are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join us on a contract basis. This is a remote role for UK-based candidates only, offered as an initial 6-month contract, with a rate of £400 per day inside IR35. The role focuses primarily on Azure and Microsoft 365, with some exposure to Google Cloud Platform and Salesforce.
