Specialist Engineer - Ash Green

Salary: £24,500 - 42,000 per year

Requirements:

• Understanding of network management and use of Network Management Platform tools
• Proven track record of successfully prioritising simultaneous activities within SLA
• Proven track record in complex delivery of multiple teams and interfaces
• Self-motivating individual with the ability to develop strong customer relationships as well as functioning in a team environment
• Must be PC literate and competent with Word, Excel, Visio and MS Project
• Recognised technical courses on related technical products and services
• CCNA minimum
• Approved best practice qualifications such as ITIL and ISO

Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a 24/7 shift rota to oversee our strategic network and facilitate smooth service transitions
• Troubleshoot issues and resolve incidents while communicating effectively with customers and stakeholders
• Meet 99.99% network availability and manage customer incidents and faults within agreed SLAs
• Support rapid restoration of network faults before critical service failure where possible
• Ensure 3rd Party teams remain within agreed fault management guidelines
• Take proactive responsibility for technical support issues within the Data Centre environment
• Work with Service Desks to ensure the correct action is taken for incidents and posted to the correct resolving agency
• Carry out diagnostics, impact assessments and investigate network problems using proactive management tools
