Cyber Security Compliance Manager

Salary: £65,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience in cyber security governance, risk and compliance (GRC)
• Background in information security or cyber security
• Experience in security assurance or risk management
• Experience in infrastructure, cloud or security operations environments
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, CAF, PCI DSS, NIST and CIS Benchmarks
• Experience working with auditors, suppliers and senior stakeholders
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across technical and non-technical teams
• Ability to challenge risk decisions and drive positive outcomes
• Accountable, proactive and able to take ownership of key initiatives
• Confidence presenting governance and compliance information to stakeholders at all levels
• Collaborative mindset and a passion for improving cyber security maturity across an organisation
• Experience of AI governance, ISO 42001 or modern Microsoft security technologies would be advantageous

Responsibilities:

• Manage and enhance our cyber security governance and compliance frameworks
• Own and develop our GRC platform
• Lead PCI DSS compliance activities and support audit requirements
• Manage supplier security assurance and third-party risk assessments
• Advise projects and stakeholders on cyber security and compliance requirements
• Support frameworks and standards including ISO 27001, ISO 42001, NIST, CAF, CIS Benchmarks and PCI DSS
• Produce meaningful risk and compliance reporting for senior stakeholders
• Support governance activities around AI, Purview and other strategic technology initiatives

We are a growing cyber security function at a pivotal stage of our transformation journey, investing heavily in cyber security, governance and AI. Our major initiatives include Microsoft Purview, Copilot adoption, AI governance programmes and wider cyber assurance improvements. This is a highly visible role sitting at the intersection of technology, governance and risk, based in Manchester with a hybrid working pattern and office attendance approximately once every two weeks. The role offers a circa £70,000 salary plus excellent benefits, and the successful candidate will play a key part in strengthening our governance frameworks and supporting the safe adoption of emerging technologies.
