OSS Engineer

Salary: £24,500 - 42,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience supporting OSS systems and infrastructure at 2nd and 3rd line level
• Experience working with developers and vendors to implement fixes or improvements to systems
• Experience with Linux and Microsoft operating systems
• Exposure to ITIL methodologies
• Ability to explain complex technical issues in simple, customer-centric language
• Ability to attain NPV SC level vetting
• Ability to commit to on-call duties as part of a 1 in 7 rota

Responsibilities:

• Manage the OSS suite of services and underlying infrastructure as part of a 2nd line team supporting Critical National Infrastructure
• Be proactive and reactive within incident and problem management
• Carry out access management and vulnerability management
• Perform system governance to ensure the effective operation of services
• Provide out-of-hours support via an on-call rota
