Requirements:
  • 3 years experience in application development.
  • Strong database design and SQL expertise.
  • Experience integrating systems through REST APIs.
  • Data modelling and data integration experience.
  • Dashboard, reporting, and KPI development expertise.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions.

  • ITIL Foundation or equivalent understanding.
  • Knowledge of Configuration Management processes.

  • ServiceNow CMDB experience highly desirable.
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Google AppSheet, Google Apps Script, BigQuery, Looker Studio, Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, ServiceNow CMDB, Remedy CMDB, Python, JavaScript, ETL and Data Integration tools.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and enhancement of a centralised Configuration Management Database (CMDB) platform within a large-scale enterprise environment.
  • Design and develop a CMDB management application.
  • Build intuitive interfaces for Configuration Item (CI) management.
  • Develop workflows supporting the full CI lifecycle.
  • Implement data validation and integrity controls.
  • Integrate multiple data sources through APIs and connectors.
  • Automate data collection and synchronisation processes.
  • Define and maintain CMDB data models and relationships.
  • Ensure data accuracy, quality, and consistency.
  • Support infrastructure, application, service, and asset inventories.
  • Develop service mapping and governance capabilities.
  • Implement audit and compliance controls.
  • Develop operational and executive dashboards.
  • Create KPI and SLA reporting frameworks.
  • Deliver trend analysis, performance monitoring, and data insights.
  • Implement automated reporting and alerting mechanisms.
  • Support continuous CMDB health monitoring.
  • Develop and maintain reporting across data completeness and accuracy, discovery coverage, service mapping coverage, asset compliance, CI health scores, incident impact analysis, change success rates, data freshness, and governance metrics.

We are seeking an experienced CMDB Application Developer & Reporting Specialist to join us in Stevenage, working 100% onsite. This is an inside IR35 contract opportunity at a rate of £800-£850 per day. We require active SC clearance and Sole UK National status, with candidates not having spent more than 28 consecutive days outside the UK within the last 5 years. We are looking for a technically strong developer with expertise in application development, reporting, data integration, and ITSM processes to help us build CMDB capabilities, automate data collection, create executive dashboards, and deliver actionable insights that improve service quality, operational efficiency, and governance.
