SC Cisco Telephony & Videoconferencing Engineer

Salary: £60,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:

• Active SC Clearance and sole UK national status
• At least 5 years of experience in a Cisco environment
• Good knowledge of Cisco telephony and video conferencing environments
• Knowledge of Cisco Telephony environment v12.5, including CUCM, Unity Connection, Jabber, and IPPhone
• Knowledge of Cisco Video Conferencing, including CMS, endpoints, and TMS
• Knowledge of the VMware suite v7/v8
• Mastery of SIP/H323 protocols
• Knowledge of WAN/LAN networks and security
• Systems administration and PC environment experience is a plus
• Knowledge of Kurmi, Telisca, Real Time Monitoring tool, Prognosis, and PeterConnects ecosystems is a plus
• Good level of English, including reading, speaking, and writing

Responsibilities:

• Participate in, lead, and implement Cisco Telephony and Videoconferencing projects
• Occasionally assist operational teams at L1 and L2 levels
• Support complex incident resolution
• Handle major incidents, including qualification, action planning, resolution, RCA, and knowledge capture
• Perform problem management activities
• Transfer skills to technicians and engineers
• Respond to specific customer requests in coordination with our Team Leader and SDM
• Update technical documentation, including HLD and LLD, and procedures
• Perform hardware and configuration tests

We are offering a contract role running until 31/12/2027, based fully onsite in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, five days per week, with a rate of up to £869.40 per day via Umbrella inside IR35. This role sits within an international environment and involves working closely with our Capgemini Team Leader and SDM to support Cisco telephony and videoconferencing projects and operations.
