Job Description

Salary: £74,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Experience working in algorithmic trading environments in Java
  • Knowledge of tick data analytics and real-time market data processing
  • Familiarity with cloud-based market access or hybrid deployments
  • Proven experience developing and implementing quantitative models and trading algorithms
  • Strong programming skills in Java
  • Experience with high-frequency / low-latency trading systems
  • Experience working on an FX or cryptocurrency trading desk
  • Experience integrating and executing strategies on DeFi platforms (SOL/ETH)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Bonus points: experience in DeFi or crypto
  • Bonus points: experience with market making or market making as a service
  • Bonus points: exposure to regulatory or compliance-driven environments
  • Bonus points: familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure such as AWS or GCP, or DevOps processes
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain high-performance trading algorithms and models for Crypto markets
  • Collaborate with traders and quantitative analysts to understand trading strategies and translate them into efficient code
  • Optimize existing trading systems for speed, reliability, and scalability
  • Integrate new data sources and ensure data integrity for accurate model input
  • Monitor and troubleshoot live trading systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in quantitative finance, software development, and Crypto markets
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools
  • Embrace and champion the thoughtful adoption of AI to improve team performance and business outcomes
  • Leverage AI tools such as generative AI, automation platforms, and data copilots to improve productivity, decision-making, and output quality in day-to-day work
