Product Manager IBM Messaging

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Product Manager within an enterprise technology environment
• Strong knowledge of IBM technologies, particularly MQ, ACE and Tivoli
• Experience managing technology roadmaps, governance and product strategy
• Strong vendor and licence management experience
• Experience working within large-scale transformation programmes
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Comfortable working with global, multi-disciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

• Own and develop our product strategy and roadmap for IBM platforms
• Manage our product governance, lifecycle and ongoing service improvement
• Lead our vendor management and commercial relationships
• Oversee our licensing, costs and contractual requirements
• Work closely with our engineering, architecture and technology teams
• Support our migration from Tivoli to Instana
• Coordinate with our large, globally distributed teams across multiple regions
• Represent our product portfolio at senior stakeholder and governance forums

We are partnering with a leading financial services client to appoint an IBM Product Manager within our Enterprise Platform Integration function. This is a key role within a large-scale transformation programme, with responsibility for the strategy, roadmap and governance of a portfolio of IBM products, including IBM MQ, ACE and Tivoli, alongside supporting the transition from Tivoli to Instana. The role is inside IR35 and is based in Sheffield or Birmingham, with three days per week onsite. If based in Birmingham, at least one of the three days must be in Sheffield.
