Progress 4GL OpenEdge Developer

Salary: £48,000 - 68,000 per year

Requirements:

• Overall, 5+ years of professional experience.
• Proven experience as a Progress 4GL OpenEdge Developer.
• Comprehensive skills in Bash scripting for automation and system management.
• Ability to perform system administration tasks related to the Progress 4GL OpenEdge environment.
• Familiarity with system monitoring, troubleshooting, IT networking, and performance analysis.
• Experience with Red Hat Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with shell commands, file manipulation, and process control.
• Familiarity with GitLab or another version control, collaboration, and automated deployment tool.
• Understanding of system security and access controls.
• Experience managing and administering Progress 4GL OpenEdge databases.
• Proficiency in database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
• English: C1 Advanced.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and support approximately 25 systems in the Securities area using Progress OpenEdge technology.
• Work on regulatory reporting for one of our clients in the Investment Banking area.
• Contribute as part of our exclusive OpenEdge team located in Wrocław.
• Collaborate in a culture of competence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Grow technically and professionally with a high degree of autonomy.

We are working on a project related to regulatory reporting for one of our clients in the Investment Banking area using OpenEdge (Progress 4GL) technology. Our exclusive team develops and supports approximately 25 systems in the Securities area using the Progress OpenEdge solution, and our current OpenEdge team is located in Wrocław. We support a culture of competence, collaboration, and continuous improvement, with high autonomy to help each individual grow in their desired direction.
