Senior Security Consultant

Salary: £76,000 - 94,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require the ability to work independently without supervision and make sound decisions based on the information available.
• We require effective written and verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• We require core consulting skills, including building client relations, adaptability to changing schedules, reliability and quality of task delivery, flexibility in working hours and locations, and the ability to work as a team player.
• We require a degree in an engineering discipline and/or a cyber security discipline, or equivalent recognised professional cyber security certification.
• We require proven delivery experience in a cyber/engineering role.
• We require involvement in MOD accreditation and secure by design processes (ISN2023/09), associated policies and practices across the lifecycle.
• We require experience managing risks and services in accordance with customer, regulatory, and legislative expectations.
• We require experience outside of traditional enterprise IT scenarios, extending to proprietary and open-source software, firmware, and electronic hardware.
• We require exposure to product architectures, including technologies such as electro-optics, radars, and lasers.
• We require exposure to Operational Technology (OT) in alignment with standards such as IEC62443.
• We require experience developing, evaluating, and analysing design constraints and detailed system and security designs as they pertain to the cyber domain.
• We require experience working with cyber and security requirements down to the system control level.
• We require experience conducting cyber and information security risk assessment activities, including threat modelling, vulnerability analysis, and analysis of mitigations.
• We welcome candidates who may not have experience in all of the above, and the most important quality is a good attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities:

• We lead in solving customer problems in an agile, innovative, and team-centric manner.
• We support the delivery of security aspects to our core products for external stakeholders, including Radars, Lasers, Operational Technology, and Information Technology.
• We engage with engineering teams to deliver all facets of cyber and information security across the engineering lifecycle, from requirements through to in-service support and maintenance.
• We ensure that products meet the highest standards in accordance with customer requirements and risk appetite.
• We work as part of a larger team of consultants, engineers, and product domain specialists.
• We deliver cyber and information security activities across significant programmes.
