Java Software Engineer

Salary: £54,000 - 94,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience with Java and associated technologies
• Experience with Spring Boot
• Experience with unit testing, test automation, and TDD
• Experience with DevOps tooling and CI/CD
• Experience with debugging, profiling, and performance tuning
• Experience with Agile software delivery
• Experience with Docker or other container technologies would be beneficial
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail
• A genuine desire to continue developing technical knowledge

Responsibilities:

• Join our team delivering high-quality software on critical projects
• Work as part of an Agile/Scrum team throughout the software development lifecycle
• Develop and deliver high-quality Java applications
• Write unit, integration, and feature tests
• Work with other technical teams to understand requirements and resolve issues
• Create and maintain low-level technical designs and documentation
• Support CI/CD and software delivery activities
• Debug, tune performance, and improve application reliability
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint activities
• Contribute to digital transformation and wider engineering projects
