Python Technical Delivery Lead — Cloud Data Platforms
Job Description
Salary: £62,000 - 102,000 per year
Requirements:- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and advanced applied experience in Python
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s)
- Demonstrated experience leading effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment, with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security
- Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
- Practical cloud native experience
- Provide technical guidance and direction to support our business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors
- Develop secure and high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others
- Drive adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across our teams to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes
- Establish an enterprise-aligned operating model for AI-assisted engineering across our teams, including approved use cases, guardrails, RACI, and auditability
- Define and enforce measurable validation standards for AI-assisted changes and embed them into CI/CD quality gates
- Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation at scale
- Set the enterprise toolchain strategy and target-state architecture across planning, source control, build, test, security, deployment, and observability
- Establish automation-at-scale governance through golden pipelines, shared libraries, templates, reference implementations, and platform guardrails
- Drive decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
- Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
- Contribute to our engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
