Technical Project Manager
Job Description
Salary: £50,000 - 70,000 per year
Requirements:- We are looking for someone with strong technical expertise, delivery experience, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- We need a solid technical background across infrastructure, platforms, and security.
- We are looking for someone confident designing solutions, challenging approaches, and supporting delivery at a detailed level when required.
- We need proven experience delivering IT projects and driving the adoption of new technologies, with clear examples of positive business outcomes.
- We need strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust, shape requirements, and guide decision-making.
- We need experience managing third-party suppliers and ensuring services are delivered in line with expectations, contracts, and best practice.
- We need someone comfortable operating in a dynamic environment, able to plan effectively, solve problems, and anticipate risks.
- We value the ability to support and mentor others, contributing to the capability and resilience of the IT team.
- Knowledge of ITIL and formal Microsoft or technical certifications would be advantageous.
- Project management experience or qualifications would be advantageous.
- Exposure to security, audit, and IT service management environments would be beneficial.
- Experience working within a structured or shared services model would be beneficial.

- We provide technical leadership by shaping secure, scalable solutions while maintaining a strong focus on service quality and reliability.
- We work closely with business stakeholders and the wider IT function.
- We influence technical direction, challenge vendors, and drive the right decisions from both an architecture and delivery standpoint.
- We oversee connectivity and cloud services, ensuring high availability, strong security, and effective incident and change management processes.
- We manage third-party suppliers, ensuring services are delivered in line with contractual obligations and best practice.
- We support the Head of IT in shaping strategy, improving processes, and driving continuous improvement.
- We provide mentorship and technical guidance across the team, helping to build capability and reduce dependency risks.
