Senior Data Consultant

Salary: £55,000 - 95,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require a Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• We are looking for someone currently working in a major management consulting firm, or in industry with a management consulting background and proven ability to succeed in a matrixed organisation.
• We require 8+ years of experience in data consulting, data strategy, or a related role.
• We need deep understanding of trends in data governance, data platforms, cloud technologies, AI/ML, and analytics.
• We require experience leading and delivering Data & AI projects.
• We are looking for strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
• We require the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• We need excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
• We are looking for a data-oriented personality, great communication skills, and an excellent eye for detail.
• We require experience with consulting-led sales.

Responsibilities:

• We lead and deliver data consulting projects, including data strategy development, Data Operating Models, and data literacy programmes.
• We advise clients on best practices for data management, data quality, and data governance.
• We translate complex data opportunities into clear business outcomes.
• We collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and translate them into data solutions.
• We lead high-performing teams from multiple locations to design and implement innovative solutions.
• We support pre-sales activities.
• We provide thought leadership and stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in data and analytics.
• We define and develop Data & AI frameworks and methodologies to grow our practice and ensure scalable, repeatable delivery.
• We mentor and support junior consultants, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
• We shape propositions, support sales activities, deliver client projects, and lead teams.
• We manage cross-functional client staff and stakeholders across a variety of contexts and sectors, including telecoms and media, banking, insurance, retail, energy & utilities, and the public sector.
