Application Specialist PAS
Job Description
Salary: £53,000 - 93,000 per year
Requirements:- Excellent communication skills and experience of conducting customer training, workshops and/or presentations
- Excellent consultative skills and ability to articulate and communicate ideas
- Experience interacting directly with customers, including clinicians, and confidently delivering strong messaging
- At least 3 years experience working in healthcare and a good understanding of PAS processes in the UK
- Deep understanding of PAS rules, PAS workflows, and requirements within private and public hospitals in the UK
- Experience contributing to a multi-disciplined team
- Experience writing functional documents
- Experience with business process mapping
- Knowledge of information systems
- Experience communicating with key stakeholders at various levels within healthcare organisations, including government/public and/or private sector businesses
- Experience implementing software solutions
- Exposure to IT services in a customer-facing setting
- Previous experience as an Application or Configuration Specialist
- Previous experience of change management
- Good computer skills
- Experience conducting software testing
- University degree in Science, Engineering, or Clinical
- Proficiency in English
- Use our healthcare, business, and InterSystems product knowledge to ensure we contract and implement products in a successful, standard, and timely manner
- Become an expert product resource for customers and understand customer processes, assess solution fit, and advise on the best standard implementation approach
- Advise customers on driving maximum benefits from the solution while keeping customer-specific work to a minimum
- Liaise with various areas of the business as needed
- Keep up to date with new product developments through the normal product release cycle
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert for the PAS / Revenue Cycle Management module of TrakCare
- Visit customer sites and support projects that may require regular travel
- Review proposal and tender documentation and identify gaps in functionality
- Analyse customer processes and identify gaps and possible solutions
- Run proposed solution presentations and customer induction workshops
- Consult and advise customers on how adopting our solution can improve existing processes
- Propose solutions by mapping existing product components and minimising variations from standard products
- Produce business requirements maps, solution design documents, and validation scripts
- Work with customers to ensure early data collection information is gathered correctly and on schedule
- Log additional configuration through the change process and follow up with the product team
- Set up customer site configuration
- Create validation scripts for agreed configuration
- Participate in validating the configured system and migrated data
- Log errors following standard corporate procedure
- Support customer validation and troubleshoot issues during implementation phases
- Follow up on test fixes and work with the Project Manager/Product Team to implement fixes
- Distinguish issues from change requests and log them appropriately
- Document handover documentation for Support
- Participate in the dry run process
- Prepare train-the-trainer material
- Conduct individual and group training, product demonstrations, and workshops as required
- Train customer trainers on TrakCare functions as per the customer solution
- Provide on-site support to customer go-live
- Liaise with other departments to resolve remaining issues
- Complete the support handover process
- Support colleagues and help spread application knowledge
- Maintain consistent and traceable documentation
