Data Lead
Job Description
Salary: £30,000 - 55,000 per year
Requirements:- We are looking for someone with proven experience leading data workstreams within large-scale business and technology transformation programmes.
- We need experience in data governance, stewardship, quality management, lineage, cataloguing and control frameworks.
- We need experience in data migration planning, source-to-target mapping, cleansing, reconciliation and readiness assessment.
- We are looking for experience managing analysts and coordinating third-party suppliers against critical programme deadlines.
- We need experience working closely with senior stakeholders, architects, integration teams and system implementation partners.
- We need experience reporting programme readiness, risks and decisions within formal governance structures.
- We need experience supporting testing, cutover and hypercare activities from a data perspective.
- A degree in Data, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience, is required.
- Relevant certifications in data management, governance, architecture, analysis or project delivery are desirable.
- Experience with SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA programmes, Salesforce, logistics, fleet, order-and-dispatch or operational platforms, or construction materials, manufacturing or industrial environments would be a significant advantage.
- We will own and deliver the integrated Falcon data roadmap, managing milestones, dependencies, risks and delivery outcomes.
- We will lead a team of three Data Analysts, providing direction, coaching and quality oversight.
- We will champion Tarmacs data governance and delivery standards throughout the programme lifecycle.
- We will define data ownership, stewardship, standards and acceptance criteria with business stakeholders.
- We will oversee data discovery, profiling and quality assessments across multiple source systems.
- We will govern data mapping, transformation, cleansing and reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- We will coordinate business, technical and supplier teams to align data requirements with process and solution design.
- We will plan and manage migration cycles, mock loads, dress rehearsals, cutover activities and hypercare support.
- We will provide clear reporting on data readiness, risks and quality issues to programme leadership and governance forums.
- We will drive continuous improvement and leave behind stronger governance, controls and reusable best practices for future deployment waves.
