Software Engineer - Manchester

Salary: £43,000 - 83,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience working in an Agile-first environment with transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Ability to solve complex technical issues using appropriate tools, design patterns, and in-depth knowledge
• Comfort working with infrastructure such as Kubernetes and automated delivery pipelines using GitLab
• Ability to break down ambiguous problems into concrete, deliverable steps
• Willingness to collaborate across teams and proactively seek guidance when needed
• Interest in sharing knowledge and supporting the development of other team members
• Comfort working on novel challenges and with a degree of ambiguity
• Ability to challenge the status quo and improve processes, codebases, and team efficiency

Responsibilities:

• Build in-depth knowledge and apply design patterns to solve complex technical issues
• Proactively find and own solutions that improve team processes and efficiency
• Collaborate actively in team meetings
• Engage in design debates and constructively challenge solutions
• Identify technical risks and create or update useful documentation
• Help manage and maintain our own infrastructure, including Kubernetes
• Build automated delivery pipelines using GitLab
• Work closely with Platform Engineers, Delivery Leads, and Product Owners
