Software Engineer - Manchester
Job Description
Salary: £43,000 - 83,000 per year
Requirements:- Experience working in an Agile-first environment with transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Ability to solve complex technical issues using appropriate tools, design patterns, and in-depth knowledge
- Comfort working with infrastructure such as Kubernetes and automated delivery pipelines using GitLab
- Ability to break down ambiguous problems into concrete, deliverable steps
- Willingness to collaborate across teams and proactively seek guidance when needed
- Interest in sharing knowledge and supporting the development of other team members
- Comfort working on novel challenges and with a degree of ambiguity
- Ability to challenge the status quo and improve processes, codebases, and team efficiency
- Build in-depth knowledge and apply design patterns to solve complex technical issues
- Proactively find and own solutions that improve team processes and efficiency
- Collaborate actively in team meetings
- Engage in design debates and constructively challenge solutions
- Identify technical risks and create or update useful documentation
- Help manage and maintain our own infrastructure, including Kubernetes
- Build automated delivery pipelines using GitLab
- Work closely with Platform Engineers, Delivery Leads, and Product Owners
