Advanced Data Analytics

Salary: £52,000 - 92,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are seeking an experienced Data Science consultant with a strong background in data science, mathematical modelling and machine learning.
• We require a degree, Masters or PhD from a leading university in data science, mathematics, operational research, physics, or statistics.
• We look for experience conducting analysis for evidence-based decision making, designing and developing models, and supporting data-centric decision making.
• We require experience translating business needs into analytical approaches and solutions, with the ability to communicate approaches and findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• We look for experience across the full analytics and modelling lifecycle, including problem formulation, exploratory data analysis, model design, build, testing and handover.
• We require experience using common tools such as Python, SQL, Excel and data visualisation solutions for modelling and analysis.
• We look for experience leading and delivering solutions involving one or more of the following specialisms: advanced analytics and data science, algorithm design and development, operational research models, data engineering, big data and cloud platforms, or data visualisation/dashboard development.
• We value a genuine affinity for problem solving and an inquisitive mindset.
• We consider excellent stakeholder management, project management and communication skills a nice to have.
• We value experience working in or providing consulting and advisory services to stakeholders as a nice to have.
• We value experience in the software or product development lifecycle for analytical solutions as a nice to have.
• We value experience using client presentations and developing data and behavioural science propositions as a nice to have.

• We support data-centric decision making through advanced analytics techniques.
• We translate business needs into analytical approaches and solutions.
• We communicate our approaches and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• We contribute across the full analytics and modelling lifecycle, from problem formulation through exploratory analysis, model design, build, testing and handover.
• We participate in live in-person whiteboarding sessions and asynchronous collaboration on Teams.
• We work on a broad variety of projects and tech stacks across multiple sectors.
