Senior Python Developer

Requirements:

• Experience as a Python Developer within Financial Services or banking applications
• Ability to solve complex technical problems using Python development experience
• Exposure to Regulatory Technology, Trading or Front Office systems, Security engineering, GitHub Copilot, or AI-assisted development is beneficial
• Interest in how AI is changing software engineering

Responsibilities:

• Build the next generation of internal platforms for a major investment bank
• Work on projects modernising how critical banking technology is built, tested and delivered
• Develop applications supporting Global Markets Technology, Regulatory Technology, Front Office platforms, Security and governance initiatives, and AI-enabled Proof of Concepts
• Contribute across teams with different technical focuses, from high-performance applications to secure regulatory platforms

We are supporting one of the worlds largest investment banks, which has invested in growing several engineering teams to meet the demands of new regulation, increasing use of AI, and greater scrutiny around security and governance. This is a 6-month contract role with possible extension, based in London on a hybrid basis with 3 days per week in the office. The day rate is up to £700, inside IR35.
