Senior Developer

Salary: £55,000 - 55,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proficient in Microsoft-based technologies such as ASP.NET MVC, WCF Services, Web API, and Azure
• Experience in SQL Server
• Familiar with TypeScript and common JavaScript frameworks such as React
• Knowledge of modern concepts and practices, including observability, automation, and DevOps
• A strong commitment to quality, including defensive coding, dependency injection, and unit testing
• A confident team player who brings energy, embraces a challenge, and contributes actively to team success
• Strong, structured communication skills to present technical information clearly to peers and stakeholders
• A commitment to driving pace and quality, demonstrating a can-do attitude to meet hard deadlines

Responsibilities:

• Write, test, and deploy high-quality code from concept through to delivery and beyond
• Apply imaginative solutions to complex problems in a demanding, fast-paced retail environment
• Work effectively with Product Owners and necessary departments across the business
• Provide development support to internal users and offer out-of-hours cover on a rota basis
• Continually share expertise and experience to help drive internal best practices
• Contribute to technical design, architecture review, and the implementation of resilient, highly available systems in Azure
• Work on highly visible features as part of cross-functional projects
• Engage with complex, mixed codebases from legacy monoliths to modern cloud-based architectures
• Operate within a product-led team with high autonomy across the full feature lifecycle, including technical design, code review, automated deployment, and production monitoring
• Help drive the technical direction of the product area
