Senior Platform Engineer

Salary: £85,000 - 95,000 per year

• Strong experience across Azure API Management.
• Strong experience across ArgoCD / GitOps.
• Strong experience across Renovate.
• Strong experience across CI/CD and deployment automation.
• Strong experience across observability and production troubleshooting.
• Strong experience across highly available, business-critical production environments.
• Experience supporting high-volume SaaS platforms handling millions of requests would be particularly valuable.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and evolve a large-scale, globally deployed SaaS platform.
• Build, operate and improve Azure Kubernetes environments.
• Ensure the platform continues to meet its 99.95% availability SLA.
• Improve scalability, resilience and operational reliability.
• Automate infrastructure and platform changes through Terraform.
• Improve deployment processes and reduce the risk of downtime.
• Troubleshoot platform, networking and workload issues in production.
• Improve monitoring, observability and operational processes.
• Work closely with Software Engineering, Security and Architecture teams.

We are partnering with a global technology organisation to hire a Senior Platform Engineer for our flagship SaaS platform. This is a permanent hybrid role based in the Croydon / Reigate area, with 2 days onsite per week. We operate in a genuinely high-scale engineering environment, with more than 32 million requests processed every day across 5 global deployment nodes and a 99.95% availability SLA. Our platform is Azure-only, with Kubernetes at the heart of the environment, and this role offers the chance to help evolve a business-critical platform where reliability, scalability and safe change are fundamental. The package includes up to £95,000 base, a 15% bonus and benefits.
