Security Engineer

Salary: £40,000 - 71,000 per year

Requirements:

• SC clearance required, with BPSS required
• Recent hands-on experience and knowledge of F5, Zscaler, and Palo Alto technologies
• Knowledge of VPN technologies including IPsec, SSL VPN, and DMVPN
• Knowledge of wide area network technologies, including routing protocols
• Desirable knowledge of Check Point, Juniper, and Blue Coat
• Desirable knowledge of Cisco networking solutions, including major switching families
• Desirable understanding of wireless technologies, Cisco IPT, QoS, 802.1x, and Infoblox DNS

Responsibilities:

• Act as the senior technical point of reference for security-related projects, changes, or modifications to firewall rule bases
• Serve as the senior technical point of reference and escalation point for incidents related to the security infrastructure, and interface with vendor support
• Design customer networks, including support for high-level and low-level designs
• Provide technical support and change management for hard (physical) and soft (remote) changes
• Manage customer inventory, including hardware, software, and end-of-life items

The role is based across Warwick, Wokingham, Corsham, and Farnborough, with a hybrid working pattern where the vast majority of work is expected to be remote, though occasional travel to customer sites may be required.
