IP Recordals Specialist

Salary: £30,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for someone educated to A Level or equivalent.
• We require at least 3 years prior experience coordinating global trade mark recordals work, gained in a law firm or patent/trade mark agency.
• We are looking for experience supporting large-scale or complex trade mark portfolio acquisitions.
• We require experience supporting lawyers in resolving historical chain of title issues.
• Experience using the WebTMS database is desirable.
• We are looking for someone able to work without supervision and demonstrate initiative.
• Excellent attention to detail is essential.
• Strong time management skills are required.
• We need a good team player who can also be client-facing and show a genuine interest in our clients businesses.
• Completion of the CITMA Introduction to Trade Mark Administration and Formalities Course, or a similar course, is desirable.

Responsibilities:

• We coordinate and manage large-scale global recordal projects, primarily involving Assignment, Merger, Change of Name and Change of Address recordals.
• We attend to recordals at the UKIPO, EUIPO and WIPO.
• We liaise with local counsel around the world to coordinate recordal projects and ensure the correct requirements are met.
• We collate and check required documentation and draft documents for client signature.
• We arrange client signatures on documents.
• We coordinate notarisation and legalisation of documents.
• We process and report official documents, including recordal certificates and notifications.
• We maintain meticulous records.
• We provide regular updates to fee earners and partners.
• We handle billing, records database and other administrative duties related to the above.
