Principal Engineer – Formal, Datapath, Algorithms

Salary: £59,000 - 99,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for Senior or Principal level engineers with complex experience in datapath design for processor computations.
• We need candidates with an inquisitive, problem-solving mindset and strong mathematical ability.
• We require experience leading, managing, or steering critical, high-value projects.
• We are looking for knowledge of some or all of the following: floating point units and algorithms, FPU design, APU/CPU/GPU/RISC-V environments, arithmetic logic units, computer arithmetic, HPC applications, FMA or SIMD algorithms, registers and control logic, bus communication protocols, C/C++ modelling, performance modelling, AI accelerators, VPU/vector/matrix/scalar units, matrix multiplication, mathematical or statistical computations, datapaths in ML/AI accelerators, datapath validation and formal verification, datapath abstraction such as FSMD, high-performance compute, system architecture, processor architecture, and emulation/validation.

Responsibilities:

• We are building new structures to solve complex problems rather than maintaining existing products.
• We expect you to work on varied and challenging datapath-related engineering problems.
• We need you to lead or steer critical, high-value projects within our R&D team.
