Enterprise Architect Manager
Job Description
Salary: £35,000 - 52,500 per year
Requirements:- We require at least 2 years experience practicing Enterprise Architecture, ideally in a client-facing consulting role.
- We require a hands-on technical background, preferably from systems engineering.
- We require experience applying architectural concepts, methodologies, and approaches.
- We require strong proficiency in ArchiMate, UML, and BPMN, with a model-first approach to design.
- We require experience with EA modelling tools such as Sparx EA, BiZZdesign, or Abacus.
- We require knowledge of solution architecture principles, design patterns, and modelling notations.
- We require familiarity with major cloud technologies, including Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud, and integration techniques.
- Palantir experience would be beneficial.
- We require experience managing technical risks and providing quality assurance for deliverables.
- We require a strong understanding of IT system design, build, test, deployment, and management.
- We require the ability to analyse and evaluate information, present solutions, and make decisions.
- We require effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex solutions to non-technical audiences.
- We require experience mentoring, training, or supporting the development of colleagues.
- We require experience contributing to bids, proposals, or business development activities.
- We require experience presenting designs and participating as a key decision maker in architecture governance forums.
- We define the architecture for large-scale, complex digital services, ensuring alignment with organisational and business objectives.
- We develop IT strategy, enterprise architecture, and roadmaps for major programmes of work.
- We manage non-functional requirements throughout the delivery and operational lifecycle.
- We provide specialist technology advice and risk/threat-based mitigation guidance on system designs.
- We ensure the finished product conforms to architectural principles and standards.
- We provide architectural and technical leadership.
- We apply technical standards, frameworks, and architectural methodologies such as TOGAF and ArchiMate.
- We build and maintain excellent working relationships with key stakeholders.
- We communicate complex technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- We apply a model-first approach to architectural design using ArchiMate, UML, and BPMN.
- We use EA modelling tools to create, maintain, and communicate architectural artefacts.
- We collaborate with peers and staff within a matrixed organisation.
- We mentor and support junior members of the team.
- We prepare training materials and deliver training sessions to upskill colleagues.
- We prepare and present internal knowledge transfer sessions to the wider team.
- We contribute case studies, reference architectures, and reusable patterns.
- We support business development activities, including bid responses, pitches, and proposals.
- We participate in thought leadership and the development of innovative services and offerings within the practice.
- We support the CTO Advisory team in acquiring new talent in line with demand.
- We contribute to the development of our practice as a great place to work.
