Senior Business Intelligence Engineer EU Retail

Salary: £60,000 - 110,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require experience programming to extract, transform, and clean large multi-TB data sets.
• We require experience with the theory and practice of experimental design and statistical analysis of results.
• We require experience with AWS technologies.
• We require scripting experience for automation, such as Python, and advanced SQL skills.
• We require experience with information retrieval, data science, machine learning, and data mining.
• We require experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs.
• We require strong SQL experience.
• We require experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Quicksight, or similar.
• We require experience in the data and BI space.
• We prefer experience managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior leadership.

Responsibilities:

• We lead analytics on executive-level projects from the first question through to a clear recommendation.
• We build and own the pipelines, models, and dashboards that drive decisions, with reliability treated as part of the job.
• We set the standard for metric definitions, finance and operational reconciliation, and data quality across the team.
• We mentor other BIEs and raise the bar on SQL, data modeling, and analytical rigor.
• We present to senior leadership and demonstrate leadership principles including Ownership and Have Backbone; Disagree & Commit.
