Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake)

Salary: £130,000 - 130,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require experience in Financial Services, Trading, Capital Markets, or FinTech.
• We require proven experience designing and delivering Data Warehouse or Lakehouse solutions on Snowflake.
• We require advanced SQL and data modelling expertise, including dimensional modelling and star/snowflake schemas.
• We require strong commercial experience with dbt.
• We require extensive Power BI experience.
• We require strong Snowflake optimisation experience, including warehouse sizing, clustering, query profiling, and cost management.
• We require excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• We will design and enhance a Snowflake-based Data Lakehouse environment.
• We will develop scalable data models and enterprise data warehouse solutions.
• We will build and optimise dbt pipelines using best-practice frameworks.
• We will deliver business-critical reporting and dashboards through Power BI.
• We will drive performance optimisation, governance, and data quality initiatives.
• We will work directly with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

We are a fast-growing, FCA-regulated financial services organisation seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead the evolution of our Snowflake-based Data Lakehouse platform. This is a hands-on contract role based in London with a hybrid working model, requiring four days per week onsite. The initial contract length is three months, with an ASAP start date and a rate of up to £500 per day. We work across the full data life cycle, supporting trading, operational, and commercial decision-making across the business.
