Senior Business Analyst

Salary: £62,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require substantial experience in business analysis delivery, with practical knowledge of working across both traditional and agile methodologies.
• We need excellent analytical skills with the ability to understand deep-rooted business process and system alignment.
• We require strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including the ability to lead stakeholder debates, challenge constructively, and build trusted relationships.
• We need the ability to independently navigate challenges and solve problems, with a continuous improvement mindset.
• We require the ability to contribute to and enhance a collaborative team environment and support an open, blame-free culture.
• We require experience mentoring others, sharing knowledge, and helping grow the BA community.
• We require IIBA Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) or a similar qualification.
• We prefer candidates who are working towards or have achieved the BCS Advanced Diploma in Business Analysis or similar.
• We prefer candidates with agile business analysis qualifications.
• We prefer experience in banking, financial services, or another regulated environment.

Responsibilities:

• We lead business analysis activities on medium to large projects and initiatives, using appropriate tools and methods to translate business outcomes into design options and solutions.
• We collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to assess impacts, integrate intelligent controls, and deliver maximum value while mitigating risk for our clients and our organization.
• We partner closely with Product to understand processes, security, and data in detail and shape solutions that meet strategic outcomes.
• We partner closely with Technology to drive cohesion between product initiatives and technology principles and design outcomes.
• We adhere to governance standards while seeking efficient approaches to improve our Business Analysis capability.
• We take accountability for our own performance and support the performance of more junior BAs within our project, product, and initiative areas.
• We continuously develop our Business Analysis disciplines and raise the capability standard across the team.
• We proactively share knowledge and coach and mentor others.

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our Investment & Programme Management Office (IPMO) in Bristol. This is a permanent, full-time role based at our Bristol head office, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a hybrid flexible working pattern and a minimum of three days in the office each week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). Our interview process is two stages and includes a case study.
