AI Technical Lead

Salary: £48,000 - 68,000 per year

Requirements:

• We have 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• We have advanced proficiency in Python (asyncio, FastAPI) and TypeScript (Next.js/React, serverless execution layers).
• We have hands-on experience building complex, stateful agentic workflows using LangGraph or LangChain.
• We have a proven track record of architecting, provisioning, and managing production infrastructure on AWS, specifically using ECS Fargate, Lambda, and SQS.
• We have experience defining cloud architecture programmatically using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as AWS CDK or Terraform, with Python/TypeScript preferred.
• We have experience managing relational databases (Aurora) alongside graph or vector backends (Neptune).
• We have power-user fluency with advanced command-line AI interfaces such as Claude Code CLI and GitHub Copilot CLI, with a strong understanding of prompt engineering and context window management.
• We have experience operating in an agile environment and deploying and maintaining AI/LLM applications in a live, enterprise-scale production setting.
• We are accountable for results and have excellent communication skills to mentor engineers and resolve technical friction.
• Nice to have: we have experience with AgentCore, AWS Neptune, or Amazon API Gateway.
• Nice to have: we are familiar with ML fundamentals relevant to content generation, including embeddings, tokenization, evaluation, fine-tuning/LoRA, and prompt+retrieval evaluation.

Responsibilities:

• We lead the architecture and implementation of production-grade LLM orchestration, multi-agent systems, and autonomous coding workflows.
• We oversee the development of enterprise Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, semantic chunking strategies, and vector database integrations.
• We implement strict evaluation and observability frameworks to monitor production latency, API costs, system drift, and model accuracy.
• We drive the design, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of secure, scalable, and resilient cloud systems on AWS using ECS Fargate, Lambda, SQS, Aurora, and Neptune.
• We own the end-to-end infrastructure lifecycle by embedding robust Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and deployment pipelines directly within the development workflow.
• We act as the primary technical liaison between business stakeholders, product managers, and the engineering team to translate strategic goals into technical realities.
