Cloud Solutions Architect

Salary: £65,000 - 105,000 per year

Requirements:

• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Azure products and capabilities.
• Proven experience with cloud service models and application delivery, including PaaS, serverless, and containerization infrastructure.
• Proven experience designing solutions in a hybrid environment.
• Proven experience building fault-tolerant, scalable, and secure systems.
• Proven experience working in DevOps teams within a mission-critical environment.
• Working experience in Agile methodologies and active scrum management.
• Experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code management, and governance.
• Passion for innovation and leading technological change.
• Commitment to creating a collaborative, caring, and safe environment for teammates to succeed.
• Preferred: experience designing large-scale data platforms.
• Preferred: experience designing AI and machine learning platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage, and deliver cloud solutions across our portfolio.
• Define and provide cloud and hybrid solutions to meet business requirements.
• Partner with business application, technical, and security services teams to ensure alignment with our strategy, policies, principles, and patterns.
• Act as an incubator for modernization of application, technical, and security services through adoption of cloud-native solutions.
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture to implement a highly scalable, automated, and available cloud platform aligned with our cloud-first strategy and architecture.
• Define and document cloud service security baselines aligned with modern security frameworks such as CIS, CSA, and ISO27001.
• Define and document repeatable cloud service patterns.
• Drive adoption and migration from traditional technology platforms to public cloud services.
• Recommend tools and methodologies to support Cloud Platform operations and implement SRE practices as part of our digital transformation.
• Partner with Development, Cyber Security, Support, and Enterprise Architecture teams to deliver and maintain our cloud platform with associated DevOps practices.
• Break large, complex systems into manageable subsystems and components.
• Ensure systems and applications have efficient, actionable monitoring with SLOs aligned to business goals.
