Software Implementation Project Manager

Salary: £70,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong experience managing software implementation or business systems projects
• Experience managing third-party software implementation projects
• Strong project planning, organisation and coordination skills
• Experience maintaining project plans, action trackers, risks and issues
• Ability to take over a project already underway
• Experience working with external software vendors or implementation partners
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience coordinating workshops, testing, training and go-live readiness
• Confidence reporting to senior stakeholders or a steering board
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Confidence challenging delays or missed commitments constructively
• Commercial understanding of supplier time, project cost and scope
• ERP or Acumatica experience would be useful but is not essential
• Formal project management qualification is not essential

Responsibilities:

• Review the current position and what has already been completed
• Maintain the overall project plan, milestones and delivery schedule
• Coordinate internal teams, the Business Analyst and implementation partner
• Ensure actions have clear owners and realistic completion dates
• Follow up actions and remove blockers
• Secure resources for workshops, testing, training and implementation activity
• Maintain risks, issues, actions, dependencies and decisions
• Provide visibility of deadlines and resource requirements
• Coordinate data, reporting and operational readiness
• Support testing, training and go-live planning
• Provide clear updates to the project steering board
• Escalate significant risks, delays and decisions
• Monitor project expenditure and supplier time
• Maintain a productive relationship with the implementation partner

We are implementing Acumatica, a cloud-based business management and ERP platform, and the finance phase is already complete. The next stage focuses on the wider manufacturing and operational rollout. This is a six-month fixed-term contract based in Aylesford, Kent, with an immediate start preferred and potential for extension depending on project requirements. We are looking for a pragmatic, collaborative Project Manager to provide structure, momentum and accountability while working closely with an experienced Business Analyst and our third-party implementation partner. The Business Analyst will continue to lead the requirements, workshops, testing and functional detail, while this role owns the wider coordination, planning, reporting and stakeholder engagement needed to keep the project moving toward a successful rollout.
