Senior Software Engineer

Salary: £60,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements:

• Commercial experience with Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, and React
• Comfortable working with cloud technologies, primarily AWS and Azure
• Previous consultancy experience is useful but not essential
• Must be a British passport holder and have lived permanently in the UK for the last 5 years to be eligible for security clearance

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and test software solutions
• Work with a wide range of technologies, with a focus on open-source libraries and components
• Build CI pipelines, such as GitLab, to monitor and ensure software quality and security
• Deploy to public cloud environments, including AWS and Azure, as well as private cloud environments
• Work across the full software lifecycle, including concept, requirements, architecture, implementation, delivery, training, support, and ongoing maintenance
• Lead teams and manage client engagement depending on experience

We are growing and looking for an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer with strong Java skills to join a live project within our Central Government team. The role is home-based or available in Bristol, London, or Manchester, with bi-weekly visits to London.
