Quantitative Developer (Python)

Salary: £65,000 - 105,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong commercial Python development experience, ideally 4+ years
• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Quantitative Finance, or a similar technical discipline
• Experience designing robust, scalable software
• Understanding of data processing, storage, and analysis
• Experience with modern software engineering practices, including Git and Agile
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with highly technical stakeholders
• Desirable: C++ or KDB+/q experience
• Desirable: Quantitative or financial engineering experience
• Desirable: Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Desirable: Experience with logging and monitoring platforms
• Desirable: Experience with database technologies
• Desirable: Experience with software architecture and solution design

Responsibilities:

• Partner with Quantitative Researchers to build software supporting research and trading
• Develop scalable Python applications and workflows
• Design high-performance solutions for processing and analysing large datasets
• Collaborate with engineering teams to build reusable software components
• Take ownership from design through to deployment and ongoing improvement
• Support business-critical systems within a modern engineering environment
