Senior DevOps Engineer
Job Description
Salary: £80,000 - 80,000 per year
Requirements:- Proven experience writing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code
- Demonstrable experience using Unix, Linux, and Windows in a support and/or development environment, including scripting languages
- Demonstrable experience working in a DevOps environment, including Continuous Integration and Deployment, delivery methods and techniques, and agile scrum experience
- Significant experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Significant experience influencing, supporting, guiding, and developing engineers across multi-disciplinary teams in an agile environment
- Significant demonstrable experience designing, implementing, and managing an internal developer portal at scale, such as Backstage or Port, delivering software catalogues, self-service capabilities, and standardised workflows
- Join our Developer Experience team and help make life easier for engineers across DWP
- Build and evolve our internal developer platform, creating tools, automation, and self-service capabilities that help teams develop, deploy, and operate services more efficiently
- Work with AWS and modern DevOps tooling to design scalable, resilient cloud solutions
- Develop reusable CI/CD components and drive automation wherever possible
- Work closely with teams across the organisation to improve developer experience, promote engineering ownership, and embed consistent standards and best practices
- Provide technical leadership, support, and mentoring to engineers
