Solution Architect

Salary: £85,000 - 85,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for an established solution, application or enterprise architect with recent architecture experience in your role title or core responsibilities.
• We need strong knowledge of customer, CRM, sales, marketing or customer service systems, ideally including customer data platforms or similar application-led change.
• We need a good understanding of application and data architecture.
• We need confidence creating architecture artefacts such as vision statements, roadmaps, high-level designs, options papers and design patterns.
• We are looking for a pragmatic, collaborative style with the ability to influence stakeholders, work with suppliers and keep delivery moving in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• We will ask you to shape solution architecture across the customer portfolio, including as-is and to-be analysis, roadmaps, options appraisals and high-level designs.
• We will rely on you to work with business stakeholders, project teams, suppliers and technical teams to turn objectives into clear, deliverable and proportionate technology solutions.
• You will support architecture governance by helping define patterns, guide low-level designs and ensure solutions align with our standards, security requirements and wider technology strategy.
• You will help us connect business goals, customer journeys, integration needs and technical delivery to support customer data and wider customer journey work.
• You will contribute to the evolution and maturity of our architecture function.

We are AQA, and we are seeking an experienced Solution Architect for an 18-month fixed-term contract based in Manchester. This is a hybrid role with a minimum of two days a week in our Manchester office. You will join our Enterprise Technology architecture team and help shape architecture for a major customer portfolio during a period of reform and change, with a key focus on customer data, customer journey work, sales, marketing and customer support systems.
