Software Engineer

About the role

The software on our Ultrasound acoustic cameras is at the core of Distran technology, with focus on high quality, reliability, and real-time performance. Together with the software team, you will help Distran develop and innovate our acoustic cameras and help us further meet our customers' needs.

• Be part of a Scrum-driven cross-functional agile software team
• Develop high-performance modern C++ and Python code
• Implement fast and resource-aware video processing pipelines
• Develop supporting services that empower real-time leak detection and quantification
• Understand customer requirements and write technical requirements
• Ensure the high reliability of the product
• Automate, optimize, test, and document systems, processes, and business functionalities
• Participate in the team effort in code review, testing, documentation, and task organization

Your profile

Requirements

• Three years or more of experience in software development
• Strong knowledge of modern C++ and Python
• Comfortable with Linux command line tools
• Comfortable using AI tools (e.g. Claude Code) to accelerate development
• Interested in learning new technology stacks and working in a cross-functional environment

Good to have

• Experience with CUDA or other GPU-accelerated computing
• Embedded systems experience (e.g. Yocto, cross-compilation, resource-constrained devices)
• Experience with Qt/QML
• Messaging interfaces (e.g. ZMQ)
• Experience writing pipelines with GStreamer
• DevOps experience (Docker, Jenkins)

• Fluent English
