Job Description
The digital marketing team is responsible for driving sustainable growth in all of the markets we operate in through the execution of innovative, creative and measurable campaigns.
You’ll work on paid search campaigns targeting both new and existing customers, working across both our acquisition and retention teams to drive growth across multiple markets, brands and categories.
The wider team works collaboratively with internal stakeholders including brand, international, data, and product, while directly managing our external search agency to surface crucial insights and maximize campaign performance.
⚙️ What you'll be doing:
Own paid search strategy: lead paid search strategy, developing and executing campaigns across UK, DE, NL and other markets, ensuring alignment with wider marketing, brand and business goals – in particular, supporting Bloom & Wild Group's positioning as a gifting brand, not just selling flowers but also hampers, home, food & drink and more.
Own the budget: manage our search budget end-to-end, tracking CAC, LTV and retention costs (RC) to guide investment decisions.
Lead our agency partner: Oversee and manage third-party agency partner to execute high-performing campaigns and maximize ROI. Hold the agency accountable to performance targets, strict SLAs, and industry best practices, ensuring they continuously push the boundaries of modern search strategy by adopting cutting-edge tactics, beta programs, and new platform features.
Set the optimisation approach: set the keyword strategy, ad copy testing and audience-targeting approach that agency partners and stakeholders execute against, driving Quality Score, CTR and conversion efficiency.
Own App Campaigns: oversee Google App Campaigns and Apple Search Ads to drive installs and engagement, aligned to our retention and LTV goals.
Manage the Google relationship: work with our Google account manager to unlock alpha/beta opportunities, escalate issues and secure strategic support, along with our agency.
Own feed & process: own and continuously improve product feeds and backend processes for Google Shopping and Performance Max (PMax) campaigns.
Shape the roadmap: turn channel performance and data into clear, actionable insights that shape the wider paid media roadmap and forecasting, using Tableau and in-platform reporting.
Stay ahead of the platform: stay up to date with best practices and market insights, particularly with Google, to prepare for upcoming changes, test new features and champion the latest innovations.
Champion AI in search: maintain deep, practical knowledge of modern AI within search engine marketing – platform-level generative AI features, algorithmic updates and LLM-driven search behaviours – and share what you learn with the wider marketing team.
Be the go-to expert: act as the go-to person for paid search across the marketing team – mentoring junior colleagues, sharing learnings (e.g. through Lunch & Learns) and giving constructive feedback on paid search work outside your direct remit.
Protect share of voice: proactively monitor the competitor landscape, ensuring market share of voice, especially through peak trading moments.
✅ You’ll love this role if you…
Are an expert in Google Paid Search: You have extensive, hands-on experience managing Google Search, Shopping, and Performance Max campaigns at scale (experience with Microsoft Advertising or App Campaigns is a bonus).
Are fluent in tracking and analytics: You are comfortable working with analytics tools, conversion tracking, and Google Merchant Center, and feel confident navigating privacy- and consent-driven changes to measurement.
Love data and reporting: You are a data-driven decision-maker who thrives on deriving insights. You are comfortable using both in-platform tools and Tableau to analyze performance across our custom-built, proprietary e-commerce stack (non-Shopify).
Have agency management experience: You have a proven track record of managing third-party agencies to drive results and maintain strategic alignment.
Are proactive and hands-on: You take full responsibility and initiative to get things done, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.
Are structured and organized: You take a thoughtful approach to planning, organization, and prioritizing your work to deliver on key business goals.
Are curious and adaptable: You love figuring out new tech, testing, learning, and trying new things, often taking the initiative to optimize and improve existing processes.
