Role Overview
The Director of the Magnet Program provides strategic leadership to achieve and maintain Magnet Recognition, ensuring integration of Magnet principles into nursing practice, governance, research, quality, and workforce strategies. Responsible for overseeing the Magnet journey, including designation and redesignation, establishing roadmaps, milestones, and risk mitigation strategies. Leads Magnet committees, manages resources, and advises leadership on readiness and strategic decisions. Ensures organizational alignment with Magnet standards through governance and partnerships across nursing, quality, HR, and academic sectors. Collaborates with nursing leaders to monitor outcomes, research, and evidence-based practices, holding teams accountable for performance. Acts as a representative for Magnet initiatives, promotes nursing excellence, and supports communication efforts. Performs additional duties as needed.
