Job Description
Join Veras, a fast-growing healthtech startup in Lehi, UT, as a Product Manager for our Core Product. Work in-office with a small, high-ownership team building the platform that powers workforce management for senior care facilities across the country. You'll own the products that tens of thousands of caregivers and administrators rely on every single day — and your job is to make them dramatically better.
Veras is an early-stage startup backed by NFX (early investors in DoorDash and Lyft) and Spencer Rascoff (Zillow co-founder) building vertical SaaS for long-term care and senior living. The industry is massive — and it's been neglected by technology for decades. Facilities managing thousands of employees still rely on clunky, disconnected systems built by giant generalist companies that don't understand their world. We're changing that.
Building since April 2024, we've already witnessed strong adoption with over 30,000 people across 1,000+ facilities using Veras today for scheduling and workforce management, and we're expanding to become the operating system for long-term care. Our goal is to be the single platform that replaces the patchwork of outdated tools these organizations are stuck with — and bring long-term care into the modern era.
Our values:
- Live Golden — be the example you want to see
- Seek Kaizen — never stop improving
- Be a Founder — take ownership, take risks
- Enjoy the Journey — work hard, play hard, celebrate the ride

- Own our core product end-to-end — scheduling, messaging, reporting, credentials, and surveys — the largest and most-used part of the Veras platform
- Own the platform layer everything runs on — navigation, settings, roles and permissions, and the architectural decisions that shape how every product feels and fits together
- Take a product with real traction from 80 to 100 — sweat the workflows people live in every day, remove friction, and make the platform easier and more delightful to use while layering in new capabilities
- Partner with a dedicated product designer to raise the experience bar and drive adoption — you two are a pod, and the product's usability is your shared scoreboard
- Build the measurement muscle — define adoption and usage metrics, instrument the product, find where users drop off, and turn what you learn into what ships next
- Talk to customers constantly — from CNAs and schedulers to executive directors and corporate operators — and turn their reality into product
- Ship fast on experienced instinct — get a strong MVP out without months of upfront validation, then measure, learn, and sharpen from real usage
- Shape product direction and company vision alongside the founding team — this is not a ticket-writing job
- Use modern AI tools to multiply your output — for prototyping, research, analysis, and improving how we work — we're all-in on this across the company
- 1-2 years of product management experience on B2B SaaS products with real daily usage — you've owned a live product and made it measurably better, not just launched things
- Strong focus, opinion, and understanding around UX — you can articulate why a workflow is hard, what good looks like, and defend it with reasoning. An eye for UI design and visual aesthetic is a real plus
- A knack for metrics — you instinctively instrument what you ship, know how to measure adoption and engagement, and know how to move those numbers
- Outcome over output — you'd rather ship one thing that changes user behavior than five things that don't, and you know the difference
- Experienced product instincts — years of building good workflows and innovative products that let you get to a strong baseline quickly without perfect information
- Scrappy, self-directed, and resourceful — you figure things out, take initiative, and don't wait around to be told what to do
- A natural team leader — you rally engineers and designers around a direction without needing authority to do it
- Fluent with AI tools and always finding ways to improve processes with them and for them — this is how we work
- A strong desire to learn and grow — for yourself and for the company. We're early-stage, and every employee is a founder
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to make good decisions without perfect information
- Strong communicator who works well in a small, collaborative team
- In-person in Lehi, UT — we thrive on face-to-face collaboration
Experience with workforce management, scheduling, healthcare, or other complex operational domains is a plus, as is experience with platform-level work (permissions, settings, multi-tenant architecture) and product analytics tools. What matters most is your instinct for great user experience, your bias for shipping and measuring, and the drive to make a product tens of thousands of people already depend on genuinely great.
- Own the biggest surface area at the company — the products customers pay for and use every day, with real usage data to learn from and real adoption to drive
- Work on real problems that matter, with tens of thousands of people relying on your decisions every day — you'll be shipping from day one
- Join a massive market opportunity in one of the largest and most underserved industries in tech
- Make decisions that matter — no roadmap-by-committee, no endless stakeholder review
- Learn directly from experienced founders and operators who are building alongside you every day
- Be part of a team that works hard and plays hard — team outings, hackathons, quality swag, and a culture that actually means it when we say "enjoy the journey"
- Competitive salary and meaningful equity in an early-stage company with real momentum
- Work in a small, AI-forward team structured for speed — lean pods, modern tooling, no legacy process to fight against
