Field Value Engineer (m/f/x)

professional / experiencedtoday
Power Engineering and Environmental Engineering

Job Description

Invest in Values. Produce in Freedom. Boost Europe.

Europe can reindustrialize if we bring together AI X energy market opportunities X industrial processes. Europe's largest companies (~2% of total energy demand) make their energy decisions with our Energy OS. Behind it is RIZMO: our autonomous AI agent acts as a digital colleague that builds independently, analyzes continuously, iterates with energy management and uncovers cost-saving potential.

As a Field Value Engineer, you bring RIZMO directly to our industrial clients – with both feet on-site. You don't roll out a finished product; you actively build the engine: you train the agent with feedback from the field and make savings visible in euros and megawatt hours. Iteration cycles in hours, not quarters.

Tasks

Digital Twin: Build live models of entire energy systems – power, gas, steam, water, waste heat, generation and battery storage – including smart-meter and OPC UA integration.

Decision Hub: Develop scenarios, business cases, what-if analyses and investment roadmaps together with our clients.

Operation Hub: Support cross-site live optimization across day-ahead, intraday and grid services markets.

Autonomous Agent: Make RIZMO better – parsing technical documents, researching parameters, running optimizations, finding cost reductions – and feed every insight from the field straight back into the engine.

Commercial Ownership: Uncover unstated requirements from operators, plant managers and CFOs, defend business cases up to C-level, and measure your success in euros per unit saved.

Requirements

Education & Background: Degree in energy engineering, automation engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a comparable STEM qualification.

Energy Intelligence: You understand DACH/EU electricity markets (day-ahead, intraday, grid services), physics and thermodynamics, and how production processes interact with energy. Experience with OPC UA, Modbus and OT networks is a plus.

AI-Native & Applied AI Engineering: You treat hallucinations as an engineering problem, have strong intuition for optimization and numerical models, and can convince even security officers of an agent's reliability.

Maker Mindset (High Agency & High Ownership): You iterate fast, treat customer feedback as your highest-priority input, and deliver results instead of waiting for instructions.

Language Skills: German at C1 level – most on-site work happens in German. If everything else fits but your German isn't C1 yet: apply anyway.

Benefits

Top-Tier Venture Capital Network: Direct access to the Point 9 and Earlybird networks – including formats for sparring, mentoring and further education.

Radical Performance Culture: Exceptional results get rewarded directly – with an uncapped OTE bonus of €5k–50k on top of your base salary. Seniority (junior to senior) is decided during the process, not by your title – don't be put off if you see yourself as more senior. Advancement is based on performance, not tenure.

Unforgettable Team Offsites (Workation): Once a year, the whole team goes on a workation. Including exclusive exchanges with our Visionary Voices (e.g. Robert Habeck, Kitty Mayo, James Vincent).

Corporate Health: Full flexibility for your fitness and health with Urban Sports Club.

On-site Culture & Team Spirit: During your first year, you'll work from our office in Münster – that's where you'll get to know our system in depth and join the first deployments hands-on. After that, you'll work close to our clients in one of our industrial clusters (Rhine-Main, Rhine-Ruhr, Bavaria, Benelux).

Not a customer success job, not 9-to-5, not pure algorithm development. Send us the thing you're proudest of – and what you'd most like to build next.
