Vulnerability Researcher

Salary: £37,000 - 68,500 per year

Requirements:

• Experience in vulnerability research, security research, penetration testing, red teaming or reverse engineering.
• Strong understanding of how software and systems operate at a low level.
• Experience identifying and analysing vulnerabilities within applications, software or embedded systems.
• Knowledge of reverse engineering and binary analysis techniques.
• Experience with tools such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, Binary Ninja, Burp Suite or similar.
• Understanding of operating systems, networking concepts and security principles.
• Programming or scripting experience in languages such as C, C++, Python or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a genuine research mindset.
• Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities:

• Investigate complex technical challenges in vulnerability research.
• Conduct detailed analysis of applications, software and platforms to uncover security weaknesses.
• Work alongside experts in vulnerability research, reverse engineering and high-assurance development.
• Contribute to advanced security research and the development of secure systems and capabilities.
• Present findings to technical stakeholders.
• Support cutting-edge research, reverse engineering and vulnerability discovery activities.

This is a permanent onsite role offering a salary of £60,000 to £75,000, plus excellent benefits, bonus and pension, where you will help tackle some of the most challenging vulnerability research problems in the UK.
