User Researcher (Public)

Salary: £61,000 - 101,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for an experienced User Researcher (Consultant) with the ability to lead, plan, develop, and conduct research activities using the right methods.
• We need expert knowledge and application of both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• We need a sound understanding of information architecture, interaction design, and visual design principles.
• We need someone who can work closely with client teams to deliver relevant and appropriate research plans and strategies.
• We need someone who can design and lead workshops across a project lifecycle.
• We need someone who can represent user research across the organisation.
• We value demonstrated ability in managing, coaching, and developing senior members of a team and wider community.
• We need someone who can communicate effectively at all levels.
• We need strong commercial awareness.
• We need strong stakeholder management skills.
• Desirable: experience working in a full-service digital agency environment.
• Desirable: demonstrable knowledge of user-centred design practices.
• Desirable: experience working with Agile delivery methodologies.

Responsibilities:

• We will rely on you to deliver actionable insights that help define the right service experiences and keep them focused on user needs.
• We will expect you to advocate for needs-based design, design thinking, and service design.
• We will expect you to coach others in design research.
• We will ask you to manage, coach, and develop a small number of staff, with a focus on employee performance and career development.
• You will be part of our growing Experience Design capability, helping create exemplary digital services.
• You will work in a supportive, collaborative, and talented team passionate about user-centred design.
• You will help us make a positive, measurable impact on millions of people through quality products and services.
