User Researcher
Job Description
Salary: £56,000 - 96,000 per year
Requirements:- Active SC Clearance
- Experience working as a User Researcher in a fast-paced commercial environment
- Ability to plan research sessions and define research roadmaps
- Experience with research operations, including facilitating recruitment and incentives and advising on software and tooling when required
- Ability to analyse data and communicate actionable insights to teams and stakeholders
- Ability to demonstrate the value of user research, engage sceptical clients and team members, and help less mature teams embed research into agile workflows
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to set research objectives and hypotheses
- Comfortable working with remote teams
- Familiarity with projects related to data-driven decision-making is desirable
- Working-level skills in analysis and synthesis, inclusive research, user research methods, understanding society and technology, strategic insight, technical understanding, agile practices, and user-centred design
- Ability to define usability test scripts, facilitate tests, analyse findings, and recommend improvements to user experience
- Proactive, evidence-driven, people-focused, and collaborative approach, including active listening and communicating complex ideas clearly
- Plan, design, and carry out research with more than 2,000 internal users to understand their needs when using CIP data services
- Use research findings to inform the proposition, service, content, and interaction design so services work well for users and achieve policy intent
- Build services designed to last and be reusable across multiple policies and user groups
- Review existing user research and take it forward
- Involve teams in research, analysis, and synthesis, and share clear findings colleagues can use
- Work with colleagues to include diverse users in appropriate research activities
- Align research with user behaviour, team objectives, and decision-making
- Work continuously with multidisciplinary agile teams to improve users experience of products and services
- Help others understand our work through co-participatory design, pairing, demonstrations, and documentation
- Advocate for appropriate research practices and support gradual, continuous improvement

We are a global recruitment specialist supporting clients across EMEA, APAC, the US, and Canada, and we have an opportunity for a User Researcher. The role is a six-month position, based in Telford two days a week, with travel to Stratford, London, as required. The rate is £380 per day. Candidates may be shortlisted within 48 hours.
