User Researcher

Salary: £91,000 - 96,200 per year

Requirements:

• Active SC clearance is required.
• Experience working as a proactive, collaborative User Researcher in a fast-paced delivery environment.
• Hands-on experience integrating continuous research within agile delivery teams.
• Clear understanding of user-centred versus user-led approaches.
• Proven ability to present findings clearly, make complex concepts accessible, and advocate for the right outcome.
• Working knowledge of the technologies used to build digital services and an understanding of multidisciplinary team roles.
• Ability to connect user insights directly to the core problem the team is trying to solve.
• Prior experience on projects relating to data-driven decision-making is desirable.

Responsibilities:

• We define research roadmaps, set hypotheses with multidisciplinary teams, and align research activities with broader strategic objectives.
• We apply a range of qualitative and quantitative user research methods.
• We define test scripts and facilitate usability testing.
• We oversee recruitment, incentives, software, and tooling setup as required.
• We lead data analysis and synthesis, involving the team throughout the process to deliver clear, actionable findings.
• We ensure research considers the diversity of users to make services usable and accessible for everyone.
• We demonstrate the value of user research to sceptical stakeholders and help immature teams embed user-centred practices into their agile workflow.
• We drive continuous research while working alongside distributed teams.

We are offering a 6-month contract with a possible extension at a day rate of £370, working inside IR35 and requiring 2 days per week on site.
