Technical Product Owner

Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Technical Product Owner, Product Owner, or Senior Business Analyst within complex software environments.
• Experience working closely with Software Engineering teams delivering enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery, Scrum, and modern software development practices.
• Experience managing and prioritising complex product backlogs.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to translate business objectives into clear technical requirements.
• Experience writing high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborative approach with the confidence to influence at all levels of the organisation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Desirable experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
• Desirable experience with enterprise software platforms, API-driven products, and systems integration.
• Desirable experience with large-scale digital transformation programmes.

Responsibilities:

• Own and continuously optimise the product backlog for a high-performing Agile engineering team.
• Translate strategic product objectives into well-defined user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements.
• Prioritise work based on customer value, business objectives, technical dependencies, and delivery capacity.
• Partner closely with Software Engineers, Architects, UX, Delivery Managers, and senior stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
• Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, and collaborative product workshops.
• Balance delivery of new features alongside technical debt, platform improvements, BAU, and non-functional requirements.
• Ensure engineering teams have clear priorities and a continual pipeline of delivery-ready work.
• Manage dependencies, risks, and competing priorities across multiple workstreams.
• Use customer feedback, data, and insight to drive informed product decisions.
• Champion Agile best practice and contribute to continuous improvement across Product and Engineering.
