Technical Lead
Job Description
Salary: £95,000 - 95,000 per year
Requirements:- We are looking for an experienced Java Technical Lead.
- We need someone with a deep understanding of coding best practices and modern architectural patterns, including microservices and message-driven architectures.
- We require hands-on development experience with frontend technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, or React.
- We require hands-on development experience with backend technologies such as Node.js, Java, Spring Boot, or Hibernate.
- We need experience with non-functional requirements and developing applications with these in mind.
- We require strong experience with Test-Driven Development, including writing unit and integration tests.
- We need experience developing REST-based APIs.
- We require strong experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Packer, and Docker.
- We need experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift for containerisation and orchestration.
- We require experience developing and deploying solutions on AWS Cloud, with knowledge of services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, and EC2.
- AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect certification is preferred.
- We need the ability to lead and coordinate stakeholder engagements and meetings.
- We need the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
- We need strong communication skills to present technical designs clearly to stakeholders of varying technical abilities.
- We design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-based software applications.
- We provide technical leadership within a team to deliver scalable, secure solutions in line with software engineering best practices.
- We work within a project management and agile delivery methodology.
- We take technical ownership of products or software solutions, including design, estimation, shaping, and user story or requirement creation.
- We document solutions, including architecture, configuration, release, and support handover.
- We collaborate with internal and customer stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
- We communicate technical designs clearly in conversation, documentation, and presentations.
- We provide effective knowledge transfer to team members and customers.
- We manage, coach, and develop junior team members and the wider community.
- We foster a positive working environment and support team collaboration and communication.
