Summer Intern Software Engineer

Salary: £30,500 - 50,500 per year

Requirements:

• We require you to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2:2 in your Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science.
• You will be expected to attend our site in Frimley 3-5 days per week.
• All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard.
• Some roles may require higher levels of National Security Vetting, which can involve 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required.

Responsibilities:

• We will have you create cutting-edge software for our platforms and be involved in the full lifecycle of projects, from concept, design and development.
• We will have you deliver software solutions for highly complex, real-time systems and software platforms.
• We will have you develop safety-critical and mission-critical software.
• You will assist in the design, test and implementation of software that forms part of a properly engineered system.
• You will produce high-quality code as part of a development team, including pair programming and code reviews.
• You will help overcome development obstacles to deliver quality code on time.
• You will help elaborate and refine requirements and designs.
• You will translate business design into a logical design for a simple software application.
• You will assist in producing detailed designs and documents using required standards, methods and tools.

We are BAE Systems Digital Intelligence, partnering with hackajob to hire for this Summer Intern Digital Intelligence Software Engineer role in Frimley. The salary is £25,900 pro-rata, with a start date of 21st June 2027 and a 12-week contract length.
