Salary: £62,000 - 102,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We would ideally like someone with experience in technical pre-sales, solution design, project delivery or technical consultancy.
  • We need a strong understanding of infrastructure, cloud technologies, Microsoft 365, networking, security and managed services.
  • We are looking for experience producing technical proposals, estimates and project documentation.
  • We value knowledge of project delivery methodologies and best practices.
  • We need strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • We are looking for excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement is important.
  • Desirable: experience working within the education sector or for an IT managed service provider.
  • Desirable: project management qualifications such as PRINCE2, Agile or APM.
  • Desirable: Microsoft, networking, cloud or security certifications.
  • Desirable: experience supporting tenders, frameworks or complex technical projects.
Responsibilities:
  • We conduct technical discovery activities to understand customer requirements and project objectives.
  • We produce solution designs, technical documentation, estimates and implementation plans.
  • We support the successful delivery of projects, ensuring solutions are implemented in line with agreed scope, quality and timescales.
  • We act as a technical point of contact throughout project delivery, providing guidance and resolving technical queries.
  • We work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Service Desk teams, Procurement and Sales colleagues to ensure smooth project progression.
  • We create and maintain clear technical documentation, including designs, diagrams and handover materials.
  • We identify and manage technical risks, dependencies and quality considerations.
  • We support service transition activities, ensuring successful handover into operational support.
  • We contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, standards and technical solutions.
