Software Test Engineer

Salary: £40,000 - 50,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience in Software Testing, QA Engineering, or Test Analysis
• Experience with manual testing and regression testing
• Experience creating and maintaining test documentation
• Experience with defect management and root cause investigation
• Experience working in Agile software development environments
• Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar tools
• Experience working within regulated, compliance-driven environments
• Highly desirable: healthcare software experience, medical device software experience, Software as a Medical Device (SaMD), ISO 13485 exposure, IEC 62304 exposure, validation and verification (V&V) activities, and audit-ready documentation and traceability management

Responsibilities:

• Plan, execute, and document software testing activities across the development lifecycle
• Work closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure new features, enhancements, and releases meet functional requirements and quality standards
• Execute manual, functional, regression, and integration testing
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts
• Identify, document, and manage software defects through to resolution
• Support software validation and verification activities
• Produce clear and detailed test documentation
• Work closely with development teams on troubleshooting and defect investigation
• Participate in requirements reviews and release activities
• Ensure testing processes maintain full traceability and compliance requirements
• Support continuous improvement of QA and testing processes
