Software Engineer - Real Time

Salary: £40,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience developing software for real-time or embedded systems using C/C++.
• A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working within an R&D or product development environment.
• A collaborative approach and passion for developing high-quality software.
• Experience in medical devices, control systems, Agile development, or regulated environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain real-time control software used within our radiotherapy systems.
• Design and implement robust, high-quality solutions that meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with software engineers, systems engineers, and architects to deliver new features and enhancements.
• Contribute to software quality through testing, code reviews, and continuous improvement activities.
• Support technical planning, estimation, and delivery of development work.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation in line with development processes and industry standards.
• Share knowledge, contribute to problem solving, and help drive a collaborative engineering culture.
